THE CAST OF
'THE TALES OF HOFFMANN'

For those playing parts which were double cast, I have written a letter A if they played their parts of the first night, or a B if they were in the other cast..

Here's Hoffmann A (Matt Connolly) wooing his Olympia (Fredrica Teale).

Here is the Muse A (Anita Reynell), wearing her toga, with a tired-looking David Rose.

Fredi's is worn out after all those high notes.

The muse has made her tranformation into Nicklausse, the smartly-dressed young manservant.

Also in this photo is Giulietta A (Katie Bowen-Roberts, wearing a silver dress), Stella A (Adela Bujakova, with the feather, also played Natalie B), Schlemil (Mike Severyn) and chorus people Christine Aldridge and Lynn Houghton.
Olympia B (Kirsten Morrison)

The Musical director and conductor (Derek Carden) with Hoffmann B (Mick Pardoe), wearing the 'Harry Potter' glasses.

Mick was good with his facial expressions.
Here he is with his Nicklausse (Sarah Tyler).

Giulietta B, safe behind a locked door (Lynn Houghton)

Antonia A (Beatrice Freeman) looking a little poorly, with her mother (Adrienne Walters).

  Antonia B (Helen Johnson)
And now for the baddies.

Here's Andrea (Helen Johnson) teasing Lindorf A (me) with Stella's key

Lindorf B (Paul Cozens)

Coppélius A (me) with my box of eyes and one of my many pairs of glasses.

Here I am cursing Spalanzani for having given me a false credit note. I'm looking more cheerful than I ought to be!
Coppélius B (Barrie Golding, also played Cochenille A)

  Doctor Miracle A (Graham Lawder-Stone)
Dr. Miracle B (David Rose)

  Dappertutto A (Graham Lawder-Stone)
Dappertutto B (David Rose)

Luthy (Christine Aldridge) with one of her wenches (Lynn Houghton)
Here's another of Luthy's wenches (Katy Bowen-Roberts)
