Goro (Stuart Dashwood, with the walking stick) has
just reported the
imminent arrival of Butterfly and her 'swarm' of friends.
Looking the same way is Pinkerton (Matt Connolly). Looking the other
way is Sharpless (Donald Kaye). Final preparations are being made by
the servant (Ken Hurford)
Chocho, aka Madam Butterfly, is
the one in blue (Scherezade Pesante).
The swarm consisted of just two (Hilary Pearce and Pauline_ Tinsley_)

Later Butterfly relative arrive. From left to right
they are her cousin
(Margaret Handford), her aunt (Mignonette Aarons), her mother (Elaine
Watts) and her uncle Yakuside (Mike Taylor).
Here Butterfly is showing her
jar of carmine to Pinkerton, which is
subsequently taken away by the servant.

Butterfly
has placed little statues of her ancestors (the Ottoke) on the table.
The commissioner (the man in
the
centre, Tony Dutton) has just made his
speech. Goro is handing a marriage contract to Pinkerton for signing.

Butterfly's other uncle, the bonze, has arrived and
is not pleased.
Pinkerton comforts the upset Butterfly.

Butterfly undoes her hair.
A new home is found for one of the flowers.

The moon goddess holds up one of the ottokes.
Pinkerton
takes the flower back.

They ;look at each other in the mirror.
Butterfly looks out towards the ocean (a little more
Titanicish than I
had intended).

The ottoke has been stabbed.
Time
for a little cuddle

The final bit of singing.
The customary grope.

The relatives take their bow, to the audience this
time!
Sharpless takes his bow.
I can't remember why I didn't taken any photos of everyone bowing.
