The villagers of Seville and the prisoners greet the
arrival of the minister, Don Fernando (Geoff Horwood).
Here are some the prisoners (Hilary Pearce, Janet
Arons, Vicci Mitchell-Luker and Adrinne Walters) with Marzeilline
(Julia Beynon)

The villagers were played by Tony Dutton, Madeline
Tickner, Claire Marsden, Marlena Richter and Mignonette Aarons.
Rocco (Stephen Roe) asks Fernando to help out the
wrongly imprisoned Don Florestan (Matthew Connolly) and Leonore (Elaine
Watts).

Leonore removes her cap. Now Don Pizarro (Mike
Taylor) is getting nervous. The little guard (Ken Hurfurd) is looking
on, and later ushers him away.
Don Fernando invites Leonore to take the key from
Jaquino (Jon Meredith) and relieve Florestan of his chains.

Time for a drink. Pizarro won't miss his bottle of
vintage sherry.

There's a lot in that bottle.
Poor Marzelline. The man of her dreams is a woman!
