   In February 2009 I had yet another snow-based holiday. This time at Alpe d'Huez.

    For the first time on such a holiday I brought along my Nikon D40x SLR camera, and so I could take some very good pictures this time.

    I was with some of the people with whom I went to Chamonix in 2007. Here are Phil Hands. David Hodgkinson , Benedict Adamson, Rob  Murray and Sarah Murray.

    This was quite a mean group of skiers (mean in terms of skiing ability, that is) and took on many steep slopes, such as this.

    We had a couple of very sunny days, but also some very cold and blizzardy days
